NGC Meeting

Union Minister Shrimati Smriti Irani today called upon the business community of the Country to upgrade & modernise its existing business format under Digital India mission of PM Shri Narendra Modi to live up to the expectations to meet global challenges. She was delivering a keynote address to top 150 trade leaders of the Country who gathered at New Delhi for their two days National Traders Conference organised by the Confederation of All India Traders ( CAIT).

Speaking the Conference Mrs Irani lauded the role of CAIT for consolidating the business community and imparting them awareness to adopt and accept new & innovative ways of conducting business activities. She said that traders of the Country have given sacrifices every time whenever it was needed whether it was freedom struggle movement or socio economic development of the Country or meeting the dire need of providing daily consumables to the people of India during the covid pandemic in last two years even at the cost of their own sufferings. She called upon the trade leaders to document the traders who have served the Country in various capacities whether economical, social. Religious, educational or in any another field. The traders of India have a legacy of serving the Country. Refereeing Bhamashah and Lala Lajpat Rai, she recalled various other people who did not leg behind in providing crucial support. She equated the traders as “ Covid Warrirors” as well.
