The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has declared the year 2025 as “Vyapari Swabhiman Varsh” (Year of Trader Dignity). CAIT National President Shri B.C. Bhartia and Secretary General , as well as Chandni Chowk MP Shri Praveen Khandelwal, announced that this year will focus on highlighting traders’ rights, their contributions to the country’s economic, social, cultural, and religious development, and addressing their challenges to establish their rightful respect in society.

Shri Bhartia and Shri Khandelwal shared that CAIT will hold a National Traders’ Conference in Delhi on January 6-7, where more than 150 prominent trader leaders from across the country will finalize the programs for Vyapari Swabhiman Varsh. Over 48,000 trade organizations nationwide will participate in implementing this comprehensive plan.

Key Initiatives Under Vyapari Swabhiman Varsh:

1. Nationwide Campaigns:

• Launching a national awareness campaign to address traders’ issues.
• Engaging with central and state governments to advocate for trader-friendly policies.

2. Recognition and Felicitation Programs:

• Special ceremonies to honor traders’ contributions across the country.
• Recognizing outstanding traders and organizations for their significant achievements.

3. Seminars and Workshops:

• Conducting sessions to enhance awareness of modern trading practices and knowledge.
• Discussing crucial topics such as digital commerce, GST, e-commerce, and more.

4. Traders’ March and Rallies:

• Organizing marches across states to protect traders’ rights.
• Demanding transparency and fairness in trade practices.

5. Promotion of Trade Culture:

• Hosting fairs and exhibitions to encourage local and traditional trade practices.

Shri Bhartia and Shri Khandelwal emphasized that CAIT is committed to empowering traders, the backbone of India’s economy. This initiative aims to unite over 9 crore traders under one platform, giving the trading community a new direction and voice.
