On the occasion of International Yoga Day, MP from Chandni Chowk, Mr. Praveen Khandelwal, participated in the yoga program organized by the Ministry of AYUSH in collaboration with Prajapita Brahma Kumaris at the historic Red Fort in Delhi. The event marked the 10th International Yoga Day, with over 10,000 participants demonstrating exceptional yoga practices. It was the biggest yoga event in Delhi.

Addressing the large gathering, Mr. Khandelwal praised the significant promotion of yoga by the honorable Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. He highlighted how the Prime Minister’s relentless efforts have not only popularized yoga within India but have also spread its reach globally. He mentioned that yoga alleviates not only physical ailments but also mental stress, strengthening the mind and willpower. He emphasized that India has always been a land of yogis, and Prime Minister Modi has played a crucial role in bringing this unique heritage and culture of India to the world.

Mr. Khandelwal stated, “Yoga is an invaluable gift from India to the world, which has connected people from all walks of life for personal well-being as well as societal harmony. This year’s theme, ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,’ emphasizes the ancient practice of yoga as a celebration of unity and harmony worldwide. It is essential that we incorporate yoga into every aspect of life for both individual and community well-being.”

He urged people to make yoga an integral part of their lives, emphasizing the importance of understanding this commitment. He said, “Yoga symbolizes the union of our physical, mental, and spiritual consciousness. We should encourage others to make it a part of their lives as well. I am delighted to see the enthusiasm among the youth and believe that there is no better lifestyle than one enriched by yoga.
