On the 105th birth anniversary of Rashtrarishi Dattopant Thengadi Ji, a Swadeshi pledge ceremony held in Delhi

Today, on the occasion of the 105th birth anniversary of Rashtrarishi Shri Dattopant Thengadi Ji, a solemn ceremony was organized to pay floral tributes and commemorate his life and ideals. Flowers were offered at his portrait, and the gathering paid homage to his vision and contributions. On this occasion, all attendees collectively took a pledge of “Adopt Swadeshi – Build an Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).”

The event was jointly organized by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) and the Bhamashah Foundation.

Addressing the gathering, Member of Parliament from Chandni Chowk, Shri Praveen Khandelwal, said that Rashtrarishi Thengadi Ji was not only the founder of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh and the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh but also a profound thinker of Indian economic philosophy and the pioneer of the Swadeshi doctrine. His entire life was a perfect confluence of nationalism, labor, self-reliance, and self-respect.

He further said, “The life of Rashtrarishi Thengadi Ji teaches us that the path to India’s true economic freedom lies only through Swadeshi. As India moves towards self-reliance, his thoughts have become even more relevant. His vision continues to inspire every trader, every worker, and every farmer of the nation.”

Shri Khandelwal added that Swadeshi is not merely an economic policy, but the very soul of India, and that every citizen must work towards strengthening the Swadeshi economy by following the ideals shown by Rashtrarishi Thengadi Ji.

At the conclusion of the event, all participants reaffirmed their commitment to prioritize Indian products and Indian values in their lives and professions, pledging to carry forward the vision and philosophy of Rashtrarishi Dattopant Thengadi Ji.
