MP Praveen Khandelwal thanks chief minister Rekha Gupta for formation of Trader Welfare Board
Member of Parliament from Chandni Chowk, Shri Praveen Khandelwal, today warmly welcomed and expressed gratitude to Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta for the historic decision to establish the “Delhi Trader Welfare Board.” He stated that this move not only brings a new ray of hope for lakhs of traders in the national capital but also marks a revolutionary step towards realising Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of “Empowered Traders – Prosperous India.”
MP Khandelwal said that the work being done by the double-engine government of Delhi in the interest of traders is truly exceptional. This new board will serve as a structured and transparent mechanism for implementing social security, health, insurance, financial assistance, and other welfare schemes for traders.
He further added that this initiative will prove to be a major milestone in making Delhi the most business-friendly and investment-attractive capital in the country. It will create new opportunities for trade and transform Delhi into the biggest trading hub. Through this board, a permanent resolution of the issues faced by all traders—from small shopkeepers to large-scale businesses—will become possible.
Shri Khandelwal also extended his thanks to Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, the Industries Minister, and all relevant departments of both the Central and State Governments for this decision. He said that this initiative is a historic step towards making Delhi a trade-friendly, transparent, and employment-generating capital.
