*Delhi Government to Launch GST Amnesty Scheme – Warehousing and Industrial Policies to Be Announced Soon: Rekha Gupta*

*Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta* made several significant announcements today while addressing the *National Conference of Trade Leaders organized by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi*.

The event was attended by Union Minister of State Mr. Harsh Malhotra, MPs Mr. Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, Ms. Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Delhi Government Ministers Mr. Pravesh Verma and Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Mayor of Delhi Mr. Raja Iqbal Singh, and Deputy Mayor Mr. Jay Bhagwan Yadav. More than 500 prominent trade leaders from Delhi were present. Under the leadership of CAIT Delhi State President Mr. Vipin Ahuja, 55 newly appointed Delhi State office bearers of CAIT also took their oath of office during the event.

*GST Amnesty Scheme*
The Chief Minister announced that the Delhi Government will soon implement a one-time GST Amnesty Scheme. This will provide relief to traders from pending dues and will help boost commercial activity in the city.

*Warehousing and Industrial Policies*
She further stated that a draft Warehousing Policy and Industrial Policy for Delhi will be prepared shortly. These policies will enhance investments in industrial sectors and promote entrepreneurship across the capital.

*Revamping of Major Markets*
The Chief Minister also shared plans to modernize and refurbish Delhi’s major markets with upgraded amenities. This initiative will improve the overall business environment and create new employment opportunities.

*New Opportunities in Trade and Industry*
She emphasized that new avenues in trade and industry will be developed in Delhi, leading to increased job creation and contributing to the city’s economic growth.

*Trader-Friendly Government*
Rekha Gupta reiterated that the Delhi Government is committed to being trader-friendly and considers trade to be the backbone of Delhi. She assured that the administration is working towards resolving traders’ concerns and introducing business-friendly policies.

*Supportive Policies and Single Window Clearance*
The Chief Minister also announced that a “Single Window Clearance System” and several other supportive policies for trade and industry will be launched soon. These measures will simplify business operations and offer entrepreneurs access to multiple benefits through a centralized system.

She requested Member of Parliament and CAIT’s National Secretary General, Mr. Praveen Khandelwal, to draft the proposed Warehousing and Industrial Policies in consultation with stakeholders, to ensure that the policies meet the real needs of trade and industry.

*Announcement of Traders Welfare Board*
The Chief Minister also announced the formation of a “Traders Welfare Board” to safeguard and promote the interests of the trading community. The board will ensure greater participation of traders in government policy formulation.

*Remarks by MP Praveen Khandelwal*
MP Praveen Khandelwal stated that the trading community in Delhi is eager to work shoulder to shoulder with the government to transform Delhi into a self-reliant economic capital. Traders are committed to doubling the state’s revenue through enhanced economic activity. He welcomed the government’s initiatives and reaffirmed full cooperation from the business community.

He also proposed the formation of a “Delhi Economic Development Council” by the Delhi Government to prepare a comprehensive economic plan for the city through consultations with all relevant stakeholders. This, he said, would revive Delhi’s traditional trade network and open vast opportunities in business, industry, and employment.

Mr. Khandelwal also suggested that the Delhi Government organize an “Economic Summit” in the city to invite top traders and industrialists from across the country and encourage them to invest in Delhi’s industrial ecosystem.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also felicitated CAIT’s National President Mr. B.C. Bhartia for his contributions to the trade sector.
