At a time when Parliament is deliberating on the historic Women’s Reservation Bill—an initiative set to give a new direction to women empowerment in India—the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) will organise a grand National Women Entrepreneurs Conference on April 17–18 at the Hindi Bhawan Auditorium, New Delhi.

The conference comes at a crucial juncture when, under the visionary and committed leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, sustained efforts are being made to place women at the core of nation-building.

CAIT Secretary General and Member of Parliament Shri Praveen Khandelwal informed that more than 300 women entrepreneurs, startup leaders, and businesswomen from across the country will participate in this unique conference. The event will be presided over by CAIT National President Shri B. C. Bhartia. Several eminent women leaders who have made notable contributions in the field of women empowerment will address various sessions.

He further stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s resolve to transform “Nari Shakti” into “Rashtra Shakti” finds a historic and revolutionary expression in the Women’s Reservation Bill. The Bill is not limited to ensuring political representation for women, but also aims to bring them into the mainstream of policymaking, thereby energising India’s future. This initiative reflects the Prime Minister’s deep commitment and sensitive approach towards women empowerment.

The conference will witness extensive deliberations on the need for the Women’s Reservation Bill, its far-reaching impact, and the emerging dimensions of strengthening women’s participation in political, economic, and social spheres. Women entrepreneurs believe that the Bill will mark a golden chapter in India’s democratic history and will provide new confidence, opportunities, and identity to millions of women across the country.

In addition to discussions on the Women’s Reservation Bill, the two-day conference will focus on key themes such as digital literacy, the concept of “Healthy Women – Prosperous Families,” financial inclusion for women entrepreneurs, effective use of social media for business, and empowering women in rural and remote areas through initiatives like Lakhpati Didi. A comprehensive action plan to transform women empowerment into a nationwide movement will also be formulated.

CAIT Women’s Wing National Convenor Smt. Sangeeta Patil welcomed the Women’s Reservation Bill, stating that under the able, visionary, and decisive leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Bill represents a milestone in India’s democratic journey. It not only ensures representation but also empowers women to participate actively in decision-making, thereby elevating Nari Shakti to new heights.

CAIT National President Shri B. C. Bhartia said that the conference will provide a strong common platform for women entrepreneurs to share experiences, understand new policies, and further strengthen their role in India’s economic growth. The event will also accelerate national efforts to promote women leadership.

Women entrepreneurs attending the conference will keenly follow the parliamentary discussions on the Women’s Reservation Bill and incorporate the emerging direction into their social and economic initiatives.
